SPRAVATO® (esketamine) CIII Nasal Spray is indicated, in conjunction with an oral antidepressant, for the treatment of:

•  Treatment-resistant depression (TRD) in adults.

•  Depressive symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder (MDD) with acute suicidal ideation or behavior.

 

Spravato is nasally administered in the office under strict policy, procedure, and guidelines.  It has additional oversight by the FDA.

 

Spravato is typically administered twice a week for the 1st month, once a week for the 2nd month, and then once a week or once every other week after that, typically for a total of 6 months or in some cases longer.  During a treatment session, the client must remain at the office for 2 hours and cannot drive home.
